Hrt Kid, I assume that you are camping at Winton. Last year we grabbed one of the many 40 gallon drums dotted around the camping area and used that for our fire. A couple of fellas came around each day selling firewood for about $30 a small load, enough to keep the fire going all night. My brother is there already and says it bloody cold so get that fire going as soon as you can. Cheers.

If you are still looking for info about camping you can check the Winton Website at www.wintonraceway.com.au there is a section of camping there on the home page and if you need more info there is a contact number you can ring

For future reference;

Campground fires are allowed

Trackside fires (in spectator areas) are not allowed.

Security was on fire watch on sunday morning and requesting they be put out.

Perhaps with the lighter crowd on Saturday there was more room and less risk of injury from fires on the hill.
