Hillside

After about 20mins of thinking and drawing, here's my first track; Hillside. The track got it's named Hillside because of it's steep elevation changes.

Story of the track:
Originally built for the Australian Touring Cars outside of Sydney near the now doomed Oran Park Raceway, Hillside is seen as a pleasant challenge to drivers and a well known spectator's paradise. After opening in the 1960's, this 4.0km circut has been rarely touched (with the exception of the odd resurfcing hotmix) with the exception of the Hanson twin 'pins in memory of Austrian born, local driver Willem Hanson Snr. Hanson was killed when his Chevy Camaro V8 hit a big bump going in excess of 200km/h, jettisoning the Camaro into bushland near the track. One of the favioute parts of the track for both drivers and spectators is the two sets of chicanes apatly named Flip Flop and Dual Wheels, where the cars normally lift onto two wheels in a similar to Oran Park's Dog Leg. Local driver Willem Hanson Jnr gives us a hotlap of the track.

Hanson Jnr:

After blasting though the straight with the speedo at 235kph in 6th, you slow down into 3rd gear for the first turn named 90 which presents itself as a good passing chance if your brave enough to brake late. Then it's a blast down Down Hill Run straight in where the speedo will normally hit around 220kph in 6th. The flag marshalls here are your best allies as midway through the straight the road suddenly drops a fairway making it near impossible the action in front of you until you hit the first hairpin at Dad's memorial hairpins. The first hairpin is pretty bum clenching as you brake pretty early to a speed of around 80kph in 2nd. Then's it a small time on the gas then decrease back to 80kph still leaving the car into 2nd for the second hairpin where Dad's memorial tree is. Then it's another straight with a small elevation decrease with the cars screaming at 250kph in top gear (6th) with another hairpin at the end decreasing the car back to 60kph in 1st gear. Then is the uphill climb back to the start/finish straight with the exception of the two chicanes which are pretty fun both are taken in 4th normally 180kph hitting the rev limiter, giving the spectators something to cheer about. That straight and chicanes are normally single file until the final turn which is a carbon copy of the first corner.

Seriously though, I thought that this will be a great replacement of Oran Park with the implement of the dogleg and some of the elvation changes and tight corners. (Didn't really wanted the figure 8 leading to the back straight. Didn't see the point of it) What do you people think?
