Exhaust Dimensions

Does anyone know what the optimum dimensions for primary and secondary pipe length/diameter are for the xflow exhaust.

I'm calculating the the primarys at L = 35 inch and 11/2" diameter and the secondary the same length (or any multiple) but 3" diameter.

This is for maximum revs at 6500 and BBDC 65 degrees.

L changes to 32 inch for max rev 7000.

Does this look right.

Does the primary measurement L include the 4 in 1 collector or is it upto it? Likewise does the secondary pipe length include the silencer/4 in 1 or is it up to it?

Help please.

No Takers.

You can't spend all those thousands on keeping your engine in top notch condition and then lose 5 or ten horses 'cause your exhaust isn't correct.

Or can you?

I didn't know they had allowed a lightened flywheel in FF1600 yet.

Gran Fabrications in Nottingham have worked on everything - they'll know - if they are still going.
