Travel update

For those of us that normally take the Salisbury - Marlborough road(A338) to Thruxton, be aware the road is closed completely at Cholderton.

Therefore you will either need to take the Salisbury - Amersbury route to the A303, or the Salisbury - Middle Wallop - Andover route to the A303, or a country lane route of 5-6 miles across some back roads from Cholderton.

Hope this helps, see you all on Sunday.

Thanks for the info Steve. I think I miss the closed bit as I come on the A338 from Tidworth, but I'll take the back roads to the north of the circuit to be on the safe side (probably makes sense to go that way, anyway!)

Marshals training is open to anyone that wants to be a marshal (NO qualifications needed). Just phone Becci in the office to get a place.

The traffic websites all suggest the road is closed until 27th March, so probably best to assume it is closed then!!!!!!

looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow,

just to confirm, i will be wearing my walking boots (not toe capped) a pair of jeans, a T-Shirt and a 2 section 3/4 length coat with removable fleece, is this acceptable? this is fine for me for warmth and staying dry, its just to check that its "safe" enough for the training

Not sure what will happen for the trainees but for anyone upgrading expect a session on flags and the new safety car rules, one on observation, basic first aid, practical fire training and an incident scenario.

I think last year the trainees observed a few of the practical sessions and had a chance to take part in the fire training too.

See you all in the morning!

Please don't tell me you've set up a blind date/speed dating event for them.

Think a warning should be issued about your need of a girlfriend.

There's your problem. Try asking them out just one at a time, you'll find they appreciate it more!
