Except Murphy didn't write that. A.C. Guillermo did. I've suggested to Murphy that someday he should run a contest to identify the pen behind A.C.

Unfortunately, the Bear tells me that will never happen, since A.C. is a very high mucky-muck, well-known within racing circles (or is that circle racing?). His "unmasking" would create shock waves in Florida - or so I'm told. The only one who knows for sure who A.C. is? His close friend, respected racing pundit Katrina Flood.

Sometimes I go back an read A.C. columns just for the entertainment. The one you've quoted (Tumbling Dice) is his 29th over on murphythebear.com.

Murphy most certainly doesn't write A.C.'s stuff, but by the same token we all know that a long time sports car racing journalist doesn't pen articles under Murph's name, right? In all honesty, I think that A.C. is from an outside source, an e-mailer close to lastturnclub, but you wouldn't know anything about that, would you TWK?

Murphy has an assistant who types for him, that's for certain (it's the opposable thumbs thing).

You are right, however, in concluding that assistant does not write A.C.'s columns.
