Pygmee MDB17 1972 F2 information
Does anyone have any photos or articles on the 1972 Pygmee F2 cars that they could post, e-mail or snail mail for me?
My latest project is a Pygmée F2 car. Originally a 1972 MDB17 it was updated for hillclimbs and re-numbered MDB19 - 03 -74 (e.g. 1974 MDB19 number 3) in 1974. Having talked to Didier Martin who wrote a small book on Pygmees we think my car started out as MDB17 - 03 - 72, which was Patrick dal Bo's own car that he ran in the 1972 F2 championship. In 1974 the car was updated for hillclimbs - the changes seem to be more steering lock and different bodywork (the centre section is unchanged, but the few photos I've seen show different noses each time for different speed circuits so it isn't clear whether the nose is right or wrong). Some photos of it as it currently stands: |
