Practice was called early, apparently when Davidson binned his Pug, and seems to be a moderately big accicent--bodywork is scattered all over turn 12. No full damage report yet.
EDIT: Mis-read ALMSnotes post, Davidson went off at turn 4, but still seems to be a big shunt, as wreckage was all over the track, and hence the session was aborted. Last edited by chernaudi; 1 Oct 2010 at 01:41. |

Davidson spun coming out of the esses but I think tv only got the Lizards. It was actually an applauded save.

Someone on Facebook saw the accident, and from what she saw the 908's pretty well trashed. Hope the tub's OK or that they have a spare.

i dont think so, looks like the old Panoz GTR1 to me, you certainly cant miss the new Abruzzi.... google it!
Certainly not my cup of tea, and i'm stuggling to see how a race version will appeal either, the wait continues.. |

Everyone has seen the Abruzzi, but what people are asking for is the Race version of it, which debuts today!

Watching the T&S now. 07's tub must have been completely undamaged after the off at T4, it's running more than okay in this session.
GT3 hybrid is 0.8 seconds off the leading GT2 pace. EDIT: Pedro Lamy in the 08 has just done a 1:07.723... how does that compare to previous years? |

The Pescarollo is running a pathetic pace. It's painfull to see... Henri must be sad to see his baby playing the mobile chicane for FLM cars...
Even though it couldn't be really competitive to other P2s given the rule disavantage they run, it should easily be able to dig down the 1'15 consistantly, at least beating LMPC entries, in real drivers hands... Somehow it's aggrivating to see it driven by Nicolet, Lafargue, and Da Rocha (I've nothing against them, but they're not fast at all), while some FLM cars are driven by Werner, Bouchut and Jeanette, etc... Put these three in the Pesca and it will maybe even fight the Dyson! EDIT: @Victor_RO. Race Lap record is a 1:06.242 from Sarrazin in 2008. Can't find last year pole ATM, but I think track wasn't dry anyway Last edited by vyselegend; 1 Oct 2010 at 14:34. Reason: adding answear |

Dindo Capello went of in the last 5 mins of the last practice session at turn 2; the Audi has some front end damage and it's being loaded on to a flat bed right now.

Not sure whether Autosport's report is to be believed, but they say that the #7 Audi has a new tub after the crash during the private test session.

I think this is what would be called in plain English "a bad sign". Combined with a difference of 1.6 seconds between 2nd and 3rd in this practice session... I believe Audi are pretty worried.
Not that they'll allow any of that to show before the end of the race's lap 394, though. |

Audi have been round the block and back again - they will know where they stand.
The race is a different issue and Audi have won on numerous occasions when they have been outqualified and outpaced - they rarely do any real qualifying set up. We will see on Saturday. |
