Roger Penske tells some stories....

I scrolled through the 26 pages of threads that had Penske references in them but nothing that had the kind of stuff found in Gordon Kirby's most recent column, hence this new thread.

It's some stories Penske told at last Thursday's Road Racing Drivers Club dinner in Long Beach.

There is a Penske history book of sorts IIRC? Might even be written by Gordon... Been meaning to buy it but quite dear. Can't recall the title?

You can start with Mark Donohue' book, "The Unfair Advantage". It deals with Mark's early association with Roger Penske and the many `adventures' they had.

It has been out of print for many years. I sold mine for a handsom profit about five years ago.

There are two editions, SEP 2000 being the second edition.

I recently read the 'Technical' Donohue book, quite an interesting read and also deals a lot about the relationship with Penske?
