Brian Fisher Chevron B16 "Clone"

British Club racer Brian Fisher drove, in the early 90s, what Autosport called a Chevron B16 clone. IIRC it was a fiberglass chassised, Chevron B16 bodied car. I'm looking for pics and infos about the car...thank you!

Hmmm, interesting one.

IIRC, he originally might have had a 'Skoda' special saloon shell on the same chassis?

Not sure if it's been discussed in the respective Lola/Skoda or special saloons threads?

Clive Brown should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Sorry Fausto , but I find this story hard to believe ! I believe that what is more likely is that Brian Fisher raced in Castle Combe Special GT events with a Chevron chassis fitted with a fibreglass Skoda silhouette shell . It might just have been fitted with a 1500 BDA at one point !

:-) Please believe me, I remember Autosport (National Racing section) wrote about it, even published a pic of the car, painted white, basically a B16, with deeper sills, and an "open" tail, Porsche 917-style.

BTW many thanks for the replies, hope more'll come, together with some pics...

The car can be seen @ Autosport-september 16, 1993-page 94. Sorry, scanner out-of-work, can't scan...

driftwood has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Fisher did have skoda at Coombe with 1500 bda ( my fathers old don gt champ winning motor) later he did have b16 bodie dcar so he either fitted B16 body to the skoda or he went to Andreason and had 1 of his b16 road cars kits that roger was doing around then
i can find out more as a mate is running in Vdev with 1 of Brians sons

also the car in the thundersports race is B16 Mazda 13b not Fishers car

spoke to Brian Fisher recently, he shed some light on the car origins...confirmed that the chassis was fiberglass, a Darrian item, modified to accept the B16 bodywork, that came directly from Chevron, somehow interested in seeing how the project went on. After being raced the car was sold to a collector in Japan.
