Yes, welcome to you Jerome - that's 4 new recruits to the subforum that I've welcomed in the space of 5 minutes this evening - that's seriously encouraging!

First time to see a GT40 win, so figure it out. Many years with a young family when i didn't go, but too many to think about working out.

A measly 4 times so far (pathetic compared to all you stalwarts), 1st one was to see Bentley win in 2002 - previously was one of the "I always wanted to go crowd" - got me hooked but work and family stuff kept me from coming every year. This year will be 2 in a row though so heres hoping to many more in the future.

For the record, Tony (tonypowe) is the third member of our little group from 2010, and will be attending the race with Ayse and I again this year. |

Tony must have have been on the beer in 2002. That said, it is a much more patriotic interpretation of the race.

50/50 for either of the manufacturers right now, if nobody has been messing with conrods again.
Answer to the question: never, still blocked by my university degree and a chronical lack of money (and still being under-20). Once that's over and a steady job is secure though... |

Pilgrimage, it's taken so long just because I know that I'll be adding yet another layer to what is an already all consuming passion. Am I allowed to have this much passion for one event?.......Yes

1980 was my first, so 2011 will be my 32nd. Missed one to do a classic.
So thats about 128 nights camping there if I assume 4 nights every time. All a blur now, but I think I have the route thru Rouen licked! |

Gonna be my seventh time this year, got a late entry as marshal from the ACO (well done guys!) but I'm set to go!
A little bit different this year, will be "running" the Bar123 as a temporary loungesite for fellow marshals & guests at the campingsite close to our turn (@post 123 next to the karting Alain Prost). It will even feature a semi-olympic swimming pool (in case we get tropical temps!) Come and see us if you wish, there'll be plenty of relaxation! |

Last time I was at poste 123 (2009) you guys had a swimming pool without even trying. I think Maurice almost drowned in his tent!
We'll be over to visit from poste 61. keke |

Don´t know about the those rules though. But having a pool at the scene is one thing, filling it up is another, we might put it into the trailer for A) easier fill up and B) do a little tour with the car. |
