Hello all...

Does anybody have any contacts for circuits out of the UK?

You could narrow it down by saying what circuit(s) you want to know about!!!!! Or just google the circuits for info.

At least narrow it down to a continent! We have lots of folks who can help with the US or Canada, Australia, NZ, or most of Europe, maybe even Africa, but Siberia or South America may be a stretch.

Don't do it! Once ventured abroad, you'll be hooked!

Better get clearence/permission from the MSA first.

I'd be interested in marshalling at Le Mans! Does anyone know how to apply?

Start with getting an MSA letter for 2011. Also, are you under 50? the ACO has a rule that first timers must be under 50. Then network with folks who go now to get a suggestion of who might be willing to vouch for you to work at a particular poste. If you don't include a poste request in your application the ACO will just put you any old where. Sometimes that's fine, but chances are you'd be less comfortable as a first timer than being with someone you know.

Each to their own, but if you're interested in saloon racing on street type circuits, I'd point you towards USA/Canada. You'll still get the warm weather and somewhere like Toronto in July for Indycar race will have (if like this year) lots of saloon support races. We had the Canadian Touring Cars, NASCAR Canadian series, World Challenge on the bill. All had big grids and superb close racing all the way through the fields. The marshals are friendly, almost () speak English and there's stuff to do in the evenings.

Combine Toronto with Edmonton, make a holiday of it! Can't beat an airport circuit!

Also ALMS is a good series to catch too. I'm sure others will chip in!

But I now have a semi-desicated sample in the display cabinet until I can get a fresh one

Do I need a letter from ASN Canada FIA first and then fill out an application form from the the ACO or, do I need to fill out the application form from the ACO first? I can't find an application form anywhere on the ACO's website! Does ASN Canada FIA send their recommendation letter directly to the ACO or do I send it to France?
