In season mini-championships:
Triple Crown: all 500 milers; Indy, MIS, Auto Club, whoever wins the most of the 3 races (if a tie, most laps led in the 3)

International Cup: driver with most points in the international races (Toronto, Edmonton, Surfers, Autopolis, Sao Paulo)

They should do a multiple driver race like Bathurst or Le Mans. Obviously on a really big, safe track. Make it 5 hours long or something. No idea where though. Spa would be good, but that's F1 country.

Multiple drivers on a single formla car? That would be very strange. It's the kind of things Randy would love to try. I'm not sure it could work. Like I said, I'd prefer a 500km road race at a green, fast course - it would last around 2:30.

It won't happen for 2012, but I've heard rumours that Ron Fellows is interested in getting Indycar to Mosport

I'd love a race at Mosport, but...

1) Is it up to safety standards? I recall that being a concern, could be wrong.

2) How do you pull off two races in the same market? Stop going to Toronto?

It's a shame, when a great road course (Mosport) and a great street circuit (Toronto) so close. Would love to have both...

1) Mosport is not up to standards to host Indycar in its current condition.

2) It is believed it would likely be at the expense of the Toronto Street race

Ron Fellows and some other investors bought Mosport from Panoz, they are planning on making upgrades to the facilities and then want to bring in additional events.

Randy Bernard would never give Toronto away. It's in the top metropolitan areas of North America he wants to tick. A race dozens of km away won't do.

Also, Octane has taken over the Nationwide / Grand-Am race at Montreal. They could try to add IndyCar to the program.

I'm not saying Randy will give it away, but if Green Savoree team up with Fellows, there is not much he would be able to do to stop it, especially with a Mayor in Toronto who hates street closures for any reason.
