I think* that firies find out their placements when they either collect their credentials, or at sign on the first day.

*therefore I'm wrong

Contact CAMS via e-mail or phone as there are several reports of people dropping off the list.

Most of my friends have already mentioned where they'll be (I'm at 12.5) but none of my Firey friends have said anything yet.

do people do this when they don't like their assignment?

there's a bunch of us that haven't received our assignments yet, possibly for the same reason?

Actually it's between 11 & 12.5 if you want to be technical.

If the link below works 12 is the corner to the right slightly with race line not following the traffic lanes but up a bit higher and tighter into that empty sealed area you can see.

http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=alb...+Lake&t=h&z=20

I'm at 12.5 so if you rack em we'll stack em.

I love that you gave the Captain Obvious answer and actually were wrong. Wonderful sport, motor racing, can never be said to be predictable.

It's my third time at post 12 (flags) and I'll see you there _Andrew. You don't get to see much but you will get to appreciate just how fast a corner/chicane it is. PVDA, if it's like my last visit there, you'll be busier than us. (This is the section of track where Glock got airbourne in the toyota)

Yeah see you there. I saw some videos of the corner and its looks like how you described it. Less than a week now!

I'm on turn 16 this year - great spot, I was there a couple of years ago, the year that Jenson decided to try his rocket powered honda at the end of the last lap.

You forgot to mention Shuey running wide and trashing the suspension, and the car looping it on the warm up lap.

Not to mention all the grid girls walk past to get to the grid....

very true - Mschu hit the wall right next to where I was at the time (I was a speccy at that stage, when they still existed....), happened so fast I barely realised what had happened.

got some of my favorite photos that year too (with permission of course...)
