Says a lot about CN racing and its relative health that Norma are going down this route.
Highly encouraging as a toe in the water and very much looking forward to seeing how it cascades through into LMP2 in 2014. |

I can't help but think that the profile of this CN prototype is awfully close to the car in Oreca's teaser yesterday...perhaps it means they are also getting ready to go down the VdeV route? It wouldn't really be surprising given Oreca's interests in French motororsport...

We have seen that CNs fly as well in Spa, so they might need a fun and holes as well...

Did this announcement include any details in engine or hybrid suppliers?

EI mentioned that the car will be able to be adapted to a number of 4, 6 and 8 cylinder engines.
The Hybrid system is suppossed to be done in house by Norma. Not sure if that inspires confidence. There will, however, also be a non-hybrid version. |

It looks stunning but who's gonna run it? If Norma can make a profit, they should find some potential customers!

Norma is a big name in CN class prototypes. Including in Hillclimb championships.
But, for about 100 k Euros a closed coupe prototype fitted with hybrid system? And it will be bellow minimum weight? As CN weight is about 600kg, depending the championship and/or engine fitted... IMO Norma, as Oreca, is trying to lure gentleman drivers who would "feel safer" in a closed car, rather then an open one. Despite many opinions that this closed prototypes are rather claustrophobic |
