Nurburgring into the post-LM void seems like a no-brainer. Makes too much sense to actually happen mind you.

The BES does not have to the rights to the classic "ADAC 1000 Kilometer-Rennen"-name, so yes, the WEC could be able to add that.

In LMS era Nurburgring wasn't exactly the most successful round, right?

The Nürburgring round is due to happen, all of the works cars in LMP1 will coming from Germany next year, they can't ignore that fact forever.

Right! Even Toyota's TMG is ran in Cologne. They technically have two home races! I think they should add double points to another round of the championship besides LeMans. Because LeMans will always be LeMans, but having a double points round at maybe 10-12 hours would add pressure to teams to not drop out, imo at least.

Would love to see a round at the Nurburgring (even if its on the new track) and Monza in the WEC.
We could have the Nurburgring 1000km and Monza 1000km even Fuji 1000km. Then again i would also love to see the Daytona 24hrs and Sebring 12hrs on the schedule. That would be a real classic world endurance championship. |

1000km is actually shorter than the 6 hours currently, but 1000miles is longer. If it were only GT maybe it would be close. I would like to see a 10 hour race or 12 hours for a select round.

Have to agree with that. In no way does the Nürburgring compare with Spa for spectators. Very little atmosphere. Especially when they only open the main grandstand areas and close off the rest of the track like they did in 2009

2014 WEC calendar to be revealed in full at midnight CET. Apparently no major surprises expected, so it'll probably be just a matter of adjusting event dates while keeping all 8 events from this year.

Thats disappointing imo. I think 9 maybe 10 races should be included. Maybe they're content with the huge gaps between some races.

On saura alors si le tracé de Spa-Francorchamps sera au programme:
"Then we also will know if the Spa-Francorchamps track will be on the programme" So nothing known about that yet, apparently! I really hope it will be, of course. As does every logical thinking sportscar fan. |

They had two years already. Adding the nurburgring isn't a huge deal breaker. Especially since the top 3 teams (Toyota Audi Porsche) all are within driving distance of it.
