Thank you all, we did it

A big thanks to all who supported me in my climb of Kilimanjaro in Africa.
i am proud and amazed to say that we hit the summit all 5985m of it.
i still have some bits to wrap up like sending some bears out to people for donations but just wanted to say thank you to all that donated

What an absolutely superb achievement Andy. You should rightfully be very proud of your success, both on a personal level at having climbed a huge mountain (literally!) and the fact you have done so much for charity. Really really Well Done!

yes and no, i dropped down to just over 15 stone coming off the mountain, burnt about 5-6000 calories a day normal and over 10k on the summit night, just gone back to 16 stone 2 now but still a stone and a half lighter than i was. need to go again and hit the 15 mark

It's your success, Andy. Don't be so modest. Donating is easy, doing something like this most of us could never do (or would have the goujons to even think about attempting). You have my admiration.

Well done, Andy.

Just glad I could play my tiny little part in making a contribution, but the real effort was yours.

Feel proud, feel very proud.

Or Wycherley Point as it will be known.

Well done Grav mate. You are a star indeed. You said you'd do it and you did. Well proud of you. As others have said, you did the hard work. Enjoy the plaudits pal.

Ell.

The more I think about this, the more impressed I am by Andy's achievement.

As someone who is currently benefitting from treatment that has come about thanks to funds raised by folk like Andy over the years, then "thank you" seems a bit inadequate.

But "Thank You" anyway! xxx

I've just read that ex-footballer, and sometime dancer, Robbie Savage has been beaten by Kilimanjaro and had to abandon an attempt to climb it. That makes our very own Gravel Monkey more of a superstar than him.

Maybe we should start a petition to get Grav on Strictly. Spray tan and spandex. What a thought!

Mike 'Bean' Broadbent should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

having read the suggestion from Mr Newns I am having many strange thoughts running thru my head. A sleeker Grav is one thing but spandex and spray tan is too much to imagine. I was just about to retire for a good nights sleep but not sure I can get the thought of any one of the orange heros prancin around in sequins out of my head.

Thanks Paul

no offence Grav but sparkly outfits ain't your look mate.

This is from Mrs Bean not his knibbs.
