Formula Ford Festival Brands 26/27 Oct

Looking forward to a great weekends racing at the forthcoming festival this year, was wondering on how the different classes would be split through the heats as it looks like older cars are accommodated this year, is this a separate race or just a class within the races itself, anyone know ?

As I understand it, all cars will compete in the heats/semis, with the final being made up of the top 14 finishers (irrespective of the age of the car) from each of the semi finals. The historic final will be made up of the 28 drivers in Pre 1990 cars that have secured the best results up until that point regardless of whether they have qualified for the main final.

Great, thanks for clearing It up for me, have seen the classics a few times this year and really enjoyed the BRScc rounds at Silverstone in the summer, hope to get down for the practice sessions too, really hope the drivers get behind this great event and puts it back on the map where it deserves to be.

Make sure you pop into the paddock and join us for a cuppa, as a group of us from classic FF will be participating in the weekend.

Lets hope the weather is kind, meeting up with the old gang coming down from the north and Ireland and converging on Brands just as we used to a few years ago to watch the racing and make merry.

Really looking forward to seeing the older cars in action as well as the modern cars, its great that the guys can mix it up with one another.

Noticed that the "brawn or Brains" classic proved very popular with the cameras this year, especially welcoming as it carries a great message for charities "End polio now" i'm sure its helped put it in the public eye, anyway a little thank you from someone that has knowledge of it and do please keep up the good work, see you in the Kentagon!!!

I will be making the Heat Draws on Thursday.
They will be published on Friday. Look out for them on the BRSCC website.
