Since a few other people have also brought up the Canon EOS 100D as a possibility, has anyone actually had the pleasure to screw around with that thing? I haven't, but I'm keen to get my hands on one for a few hours!

I have currently a Fuji Finepix S2980 camera that I have used at Rockingham and Silverstone. I might buy another camera as I find the camera isn't fast at capturing shots when cars go past at speed.
Here are some photos taken with the camera though: http://www.flickr.com/photos/craig_s...7629628247711/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/nnmotor...7629799491046/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/9244355...7634855639757/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/9244355...7634397669688/ |

Get into a better viewing position without clutter in the foreground and pan with the camera at a higher speed and a larger F stop to narrow the depth of field, yes I know there is a "lag" with a bridge camera but fortunately with a digi camera you can afford to waste loads of shots If you want to take great Motorsport pictures then yes a decent SLR setup is the way to go but with some forethought and experimenting it is quite possible to get decent shots. Remember it's not the camera that takes the shot but the person that presses the button ! |

So, now that I did get my hands on the 100D, I can only recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable DSLR! It's a beast for that price and if you don't have very high demands! Sure it's not like the 70D or even the 600D that I have, but it does come pretty close.
What camera did TS eventually buy? |
