Le Mans Classic Who is attending?
I know there will be threads in the historic section but it would be interesting to know who from here is planning on going to the Classic this year. I am lucky enough to be attending both this year. At the Classic I am being a namby-pamby and staying in a town centre hotel but the trip is for us part of a stag weekend for a good friend and we wanted to be close to the bars and restaurants in town. I will be in the area from Friday to Monday.

Was hoping to go to my 5th Classic, but my lift down in the stag has been scuppered by my mates wife booking a holiday over those days, she was fully aware of the dates but that is another matter, Still hoping to sort something out but will do the main event first, Suspect the huge increase in people doing the main race this year could hit sales of classic this year

I'll make a late decision on the Classic this year.
My problem is that the entry is very much the same every year, the paddocks have become more and more crowded and as an old mate of mine who used to be a top line historic racer says "everybody is modifying historics so much now that it is not nearly as much fun as it used to be". |

Sadly as always since the first Classic in 2002, it's far too soon after the 24 Hours for me to get away to France again....

Yeah right..... Actually, not too far out, as my missus will still be in the States until 1st July. But getting time off work could be more than a little problematic. We're not all men of leisure like you are now, you know!

I'd love to, but somehow, I doubt it will happen...
Lack of holiday, and cash, and 'family' duties will combine. Always 2016 I guess! |

Lucky for some, eh? I still have happy memories from 2008. Ayari in a 917 hammering into Tertre Rouge at dawn...

One day, you never know, I may go again (I went to the first one in 2002), but as long as it remains in July, there's little chance.......

OK plans are underway, on the 7.35 tunnel thursday morning, no camping or tickets yet but sure we will get them. Going down in a honda s2000 so basically no room for anything other than tent/sleeping bag and chair so really roughing it. Hope we get camping sorted or we will be pitching a tent in someones garden. Now are we doing a meet on saturday, will start a new thread to see who is around
