Can anybody give me a good reason why the penalty isn't stiffer?

What he did was extremely dangerous and that seems to lenient to me, I'm guessing there's limits in the relevant statutes?

Perhaps there was insufficient evidence to push harder for a different outcome.

The incident would likely be causing damage to Mr Stewart's reputation, and business, which would likely exceed the cost of the fine..

V8SC has also banned Brett from competing in a V8SC sanctioned series as well as working for a team in any role. I wonder how long this ban is, and whether v8sc can legally stop someone working for a team.

I read it to be for the same duration as the CAMS ban, just not enough.
