Formula e marshals
I applied to marshal the formula E in Battersea a month ago (probably too late) but haven't heard if I was successful. Has anyone had confirmation that they were successful yet?

Yep. Dave Scott from MSVR said some time ago on FB that "if you did it last year and applied again, you're in".
We also got an email confirming that (Feb 17th), then another one advising that some people hadn't received an email so here it was again (April 13th). If I were you I'd drop them another email - formulae@msvracing.co.uk. Failing that, phone Simon on the number here: http://www.msvracing.com/ |

Well I did do it last year and very much enjoyed it, so fingers crossed. I mailed them again on that email address just before starting this post, hopfully I get a response this time. I'll give them some time before calling up but thanks for your help.

Just to advise the objectors group have got a high court date end of May. This race is not a certainty.
As someone whos spent money to get to a race now cancelled (Boston Indy) consider your preparations accordingly. |

Formula e marshals
Well just got the bmmc Mail asking for more volunteers and still no reply to my mails grr. I thought they had had the last of the objections, I didn't know it was now going the the high court. I get some of the objections but I think the build will be much smoother with lesson learned from last year. I hear they've been throwing up the tracks much quicker this season. They really could do away with the helicopter shots, they were by far the noisiest things all day. With the tree cover you could never see the track from the air anyway.

So anyone with hotel bookings (that includes Nina and I - phew), travel arrangements, or who has hired a cardboard box to sleep under Battersea bridge, should be OK. There is a possibility that London may be dropped from next years calendar, or may run as a street race. However I believe the latter depends on some secondary legislation for closed road racing, which I think Greem is well up on? |

If I recall correctly (and I'm not trawling back through the records to find this) the primary legislation which passed in Q1 2015 required a change to the Road Traffic Act 1988 to repeal the need for an Act of Parliament to permit racing on the public highway.
The MSA said at the time that they would be pushing for it after the general election last May, but so far as I'm aware there's been no noise about it since then. |

I've had a reply from David at MSVR and I'm in! Sounds like I'm good to book the train tickets now.

Joining instructions
Am I missing something or should we have received details of sign-on etc by now? Last year we received it around mid May.

Email with site details etc arrived on Tuesday.
Principal change is that Friday sign-on now takes place in the Millennium Arena. |
