Not a native English speaker either, but I understood the full WEC car as a full-season car and to me that was nothing that excluded the 3rd partial car?

Earlier they were speculating if the 3rd car would also do Germany (where the cars are run from) and/or Fuji.
Can't see them have new (other) information 5 hours later?

The race isn't over but,
Best race by Audi this season. Pretty much dominated after they got ahead of the Porsches. So many what if scenarios for next year...

I will miss them next year, and I've only been watching endurance racing for like 5 years.

Of course group c was better in some ways. And current regs are better in other ways. And the 70s were better in other ways. Etc.

I love group c but I do think the current age is something special. Not just P1, but P2, ELMS, Blancpain, what IMSA is about to do and events like Creventic and Ring 24. It's a wonderful time to be a sports car fan.

I tweeted in the question, if we're extra lucky they might see it and reply to it on broadcast. Likelihood though mirrors #6 becoming driver's champion.

Yeah I think the commentators are saying 3 Toyota's but that there's already a full time drive that's taken. I presume that's Lopez replacing Sarrazin. Then they mentioned Ryo Hirakawa as a definite part of the program. That must be a third car.

So long Audi. Good show from them. I will miss them even though I don't like the diesel much. Good luck to their team and drivers in finding another job either inside the new projects or going to another sportscar team.

Hopefully the car for next year is at least built up and we get to see it in print or digital media. But preferably with Joest running it, even if it's something of a hack job. It'll be better than nothing and probably better than the Kolles car.
