It’s our Grand Prix
It’s second to none It’s fair dinkum Formula One ... with 4x races 2x130km, 2x70km) across the event. Will the Mustangs keep on their winning ways, or does the house of 8’s have a solution to blow everyone away... 2 weeks until we find out.. I’m excited... |

I don't know if a single podium spot (in a wet race) out of 4 races is decent.

DJRTP to maintain momentum, others to unjustly claim discrimination.

Wow, the Matt Stone Racing / Stone Brothers workshop is very large.
I take it there are still full machine, fabrication and paint shops on site too (as well as, ironically, the DJRTP engine shop!)? MSR seem well placed to transition back to being a multi-car team constructing their own racecars... |

After the farce of the Saturday night race last year I thought they should have swapped slots with the Sunday sprint race and started the other supports 30 minutes earlier.Instead they have scheduled the start for 10 minutes later than it was scheduled to start last year.Any major delays in F1 Qualifying could really mess up their plans.

Seriously though if DJR/TP were able to win last years championship with inferior aero what did people honestly think would happen when they got equal aero with the stang, let alone the fact that holden teams haven't yet adapted to the linear spring set-up?

Adelaide however we saw a virtual Mustang lockout, with drivers leaping from the 20s into the top 6. That is notable much more so than the ZB that Ryan Story was so vocal about. Nobody ever builds a car to be slower than the old one, and Penske no doubt lent resources to the Mustang that PRA never has with the FG-X. Will be interesting to see how this develops across multiple circuit types. There is no doubt all the Mustang pilots had speed to burn and really didn't pay for the mistakes they made at all. The ZB didn't have it all it's own way after Adelaide and Scott went on to win the championship. |
