I was Crew Chief at Schuppan's in England during this era, and built the chassis in question. We switched to the standard ally tub 962 after the shortcomings of the Boxstrom/Bellamy car.
That was a very epic strip down/rebuild of the cars in the garage at Le Mans! As the ally 962 was not a complete race ready chassis, by any stretch of the imagination. Trust me I know, me and the crew lived in the garage getting it finished in time for the race!
The race itself was not without its dramas too, but we got through to the end.
