About sports events it is difficut to say because they speak only about football.
They say the norm is: people seated , distancing 1 seat between 2 people or group, and mask. |

I suspect sitting at our campsite pitch without a mask will be fine, and yes I'll miss going down to the inside of Tertre Rouge in the small hours with a glass of decent whisky, or indeed having a beer in the grandstand through the afternoon, but if this is the price we pay then fair enough. I've booked a hotel for the Sunday night, but being honest, until things are a lot clearer I'm not committing much. Optimism is less high than it was a couple of weeks ago, but being stoic seems like a good idea, much as it has about a lot else of life over the last six months or so. |

As said the numbers of people not going this year seems to be increasing so perhaps the ACO will be able to cope with those actually attending the race, but as it gets closer to the date the politicians are taking the choices out of peoples hands.

I think the ACO will follow the sanitory rules : distancing in the grandstands with 1 seat left between people or groups, and mask to be worn in the circuit and plenty of hydroalcoholic solution!

Because of the new mask wearing rules, if we have to wear a mask why could it be possible in the town centers and not along the track?? Do you imagine staying all along the race at the same seat?? Even if ACO is not always "clean", I deeply doubt they can consider receive the fans like this. BUT we know they can take us by surprise :.................

I'm not certain that the quarantine relates to those working for teams at Spa. My son is there this week doing ELMS and LMCup and he's been told he will be exempt - so he understands.....?

Drivers of goods vehicles and other employees of community licence holders for the international carriage of goods You’ll need to complete the Public Health passenger locator form before you travel to the UK. You will not need to self-isolate. You’ll need to show that your travel is part of your job, for example a letter from your employer, a consignment note or your operator’s licence. But I guess it depends on whether the team he is working for has such a licence. There is no doubt that travel is an essential part of his job, working in ELMS, LMCup and also GT World Challenge. |

I think he'll probably be too knackered. It's only essentially him and one other running the LM Cup car and he's windscreen cleaner and tyre changer on one of the ELMS P3's.

And today one of the drivers put a wheel on the grass at Eau Rouge, not a clever thing to do. So the crew have an all-nighter to be ready for tomorrow....

Just a small point, these days there is no grass at Eau Rouge. The grass starts on the right in Le Radillon.

That must have been it then Peter. Fortunately, I misunderstood his message, it was a team a few garages up. Not good for them, but at least my lad would have got some sleep after all!

My son did not have to quarantine on his return from Spa. Apparently the team members have some kind of authorisation/exemption based on the fact that they were there to work and were effectively 'bubbled' in their team at the circuit. Great day yesterday as well, second in class in P3.....
