Off to Sauber after a very good race at The Ring where we learned a lot. We have much more front downforce as our EVO''s worked well. We will now work on rear. More testing at The Ring on Wednesday. Then 6 hour Quali race on Sunday.
As I said the possibility of anyone letting an LMP2 beat Toyota or us at L e Mans is zero. The same will be true when Many more major manufacturers join and convergence happens. Absolutely zero. Hypercar and convergence are and will be a massive success and bring magic back to Le Mans and frankly in the future I see Hypercar/LMDH-Slower LMP2's -GT3 being Le Mans. Spec LMP2 racing will not be the main act there ever. We we be at Portimao. |

I'll be interested in what you made of yesterday's WEC race Jim. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to see your cars there mixing it with Toyota and Alpine. With the various issues they had, you must feeling pretty optimistic?

Well we are all hoping the top class with more than 3 cars. Will firstly be more entertaining and allow the tv to focus on that to a larger extent, Spa race was certainly more about the lower classes.

There's a very nice pic of the car here but I do worry about those intercoolers getting ripped to bits by a tyre failure.

according to this, 007 is slightly longer and taller than GR010 (if ulimatecarepage data is correct). Anyway it's the perspective of the photos that is deceptive. At example during a race via web streaming or tv, you can see lmp1/lmp2 next to GTE cars and you don't perceive so big differences, but when you see them close in real life lmp1/lmp2 look like micro machines compared to GTE. Same for modern F1 cars, you watch them on tv and you see nothing strange, you look at them in real life and realize are longer than a ford F150. |
