The Chevy Corvette rather dominated. They are a factory team in GTE Am essentially. The overwhelming favorites to win GTE at Le Mans this year. And I hope they do.

Vanwall finishes ahead of both Pugs. That must be quite embarrassing.

Having Ben Keating as your bronze driver doesn’t hurt. He’s very fast for an Am and doesn’t make many mistakes. |

Only after the next closest car crashed itself out of the high running, it's not like they ran away from the start all alone

The new Hypercar teams will feel like they have earned it if they can beat Toyota. That looked very comfortable for them. And the GR010 looks so well sorted compared to the others.

It seemed Viaplay created some IMSATV geoblocks for our friends in Denmark, Sweden and some other countries. Will say a silent prayer this doesn't impact UK fans too. |

It just goes to show that Porsche actually don't have a divine right to win (as believed by some of their supporters.....).

Looking at the lap times during the race it seemed to me that the Ferrari and Caddy were turning similar laps to the Toyotas in large portions of the race, mistakes/crashes dropped the Ferrari further away than the result looks, i think the Caddy had a drive through as well. The Toyotas seemed to gain time during the yellows in relation to those behind, maybe they were better on the restarts? I think the Toyotas were also better on the double stint tyre runs where the others were losing out on the long runs, this is because Toyota have a lot more set up knowledge in the bank on their car. Porsches had a couple of niggly problems and suffered more than the other top teams with tyre deg. Toyota will be beaten this year on pace alone..........

I felt the race developed kind of like how I expected it to. We knew Toyota had been practising in the open for a long time, so to beat them, you had to have a very fast car and a smooth operation. The latter was of course cruicial.
I didn't follow the series last year, as it felt very much like a stop-gap year, so I didn't really notice how much Peugeot did last year. But, their car is still quite new. They should have started to get their operations in order by now if they did their homework last year. Ferrari have tested like crazy, but they did not yet have their operation procedures in order. Considering, they did quite well. Porcsche had a terrible Daytona from a reliability perspective and for them to finish just 4 laps after the Toyota was a *massive* improvement, especially since Sebring is the toughest race out there! Endurance racing has seldom been about the milliseconds, so I felt the end result with so many of the top class within 5 laps of the winners I classify as really close! |

I have warmed up Toyota more since they came in with the GR010 which is a cool car I think. Hope and expect them to win Le Mans this year now. Just wish they change the livery however they have never done this in 10 years. I dont think Toyota GR has ever done a special livery in the mold that Porsche does for instance.
