but I wouldn't mind the red bull rookies in a couple of years being in MotoGP

According to Motor Sport Aktuell, the reason Ralf Waldmann quit WCM was that he could not get any enjoyment out of riding a four-stroke. No doubt he also realized that the bike would never be competitive. Ralf also said that he is now definitely retired (until somebody offers him a wild card ride at the Sachsenring, no doubt....... ).
