I voted for fast lane hogs, but actually I despise:
-anyone who drives faster than me. -anyone who drives slower than me. -anyone who drives a car I can't afford. -anyone who can't afford the car I drive. -anyone in a SUV, whatever a SUV is. I hate them because I read somewhere I'm supposed to. -anyone who's in my way. -anyone who thinks I'm in their way. -just anyone. |

I love driving on the roads, except for one thing - I hate other road users! It's a bit like that thing with the alternative - the only thing wrong with public transport is the public... |

Well, I hate the attitude many seem to have on the road these days. Sure, I also hate all of your examples but the one that really worries me is ATTITUDE. When I started driving ( 20 years ago) the general demeanor of the people I encountered behind the wheel seemed alot more laid back.
Back then, someone cut you off, you'd beep your horn, and they'd either wave to say sorry or hide in the seat. These days using your horn gets a reaction like you've just said their mother slept with every guy down the pub and the visiting football team. I reguarly travel on the F3 between the central coast and Sydney and attitude displayed on this piece of road is astounding. Last week a young lady got rather offended when I flashed my lighta at her, as she was sitting in the right hand lane doing 80 k in a 110 k zone. The language and hand gestures left me dumbfounded. Over me flashing my highbeam in broad daylight ?? Must be getting old......... |
