Marlboro, reknowned motorsport icon and tobacco company owned by R. J. Reynolds, just extended Scuderia Ferrari's sponsorship package until the 2006 EU ban date thereby quelling rumors of their quitting on the latest World Champions. I assume their deal with Penske will soon follow suit.

Ferrari announces deal with Microsoft. Just sponsorship... News from Jan, 2007 : Mc Laren and Williams announces deal with Microsoft for 2007 season. News from Sep, 2007 : After a huge meeting between all teams, FIA and Microsoft, it has been announced that Microsoft will be sponsoring all teams next season. News from Nov, 2007 : Microsoft announces they will provide all the software needed for the teams... The tests will begin as soon as possible, with his new team MSN (ex-BAR) News from Jan, 2008 : Most of the teams have complainings about the software provided by Microsoft, but their own team seems to be very positive about it: "Anyone can download the latest version from our website !" Ferrari : "We're fast most of the time, but it slow down, when there's some transmission on the radio..." McLaren : "The display in the cockpit lacks of information. Like : 'Engine error: This car will stop.' " Williams: "There are so many functions we don't really use, and the one's we do always hangs the software." Renault : "Everytime we change gears a message displays on the LCD: 'A new version for this software is avaiable. Do you want to connect now ?' " Sauber : "Everytime we pit and try to change the tyres at the same time, we got the message 'Close one or more progams before start this one' " Arrows : "Funny. But we're experiencing some problems with one of our drivers... everytime he enters the cockpit, it displays : 'Not enough memory' " Jaguar : "Our main problem is in refueling... it keeps displaying : 'Wrong version. A DLL is missing.' " Minardi : "We still waiting for the software to start... there's only the logo showing" Prost : "We are downloading the new french version, because the older one was in Chinese" ... any ideas ?
