Best MotoGP/500 season?
I was just wondering if MotoGP/500 ever had a season as dramatic as the WSB 2002 season.

Don't know about dramatic, but 1999-2001 produced some of the closest racing in history.

There was nothing dramatic about WSB 2002 at all, bar the second Assen race and the two Imola races. It was quite dull.
The first half:Bayliss won all the time. The second half:Edwards won all the time. I thought the 2000 season was great! |

But at least we had two people winning all the time, unlike Rossi in MotoGP 2002 F1 in 1988 was similar to WSB 2002, and I don't hear anyone calling that a boring season Last edited by Yoong Montoya; 25 Jul 2003 at 20:16. |

Re: SBK - the2000 and 2001 SBK seasons were good. 2002 was rubbish. Neil tried his damdest and couldn't win, Bayliss dominated ans didn't win the title and to cap it all the Texas Twonk ended up with the number one plate - which he didn't bother defending! The Foggy/Chili/Corser year - '98, wasn't it - was also amazing.
The 500s while I've been watching have hardly been edge of the seat stuff, as far as the championship was concerned. Either my hero was way out in front or I didn't care who it was who took it - ie, between Doohan and Rossi. |

No, but I just don't like Colin. Never have, from his days as a brat who publically slagged off his elders and betters like Foggy to his off-hand attitude at causing the crash that cost Slight his finger, and his (thankfully not so frequent) petulant fits when things weren't going his way. Maybe he has matured into a decent racer but I still see a big-headed brat.
I'm not asking anyone to share the opinion, I'm just being *****y. So there! |
