Wow! Kudos to Trulli even more for his drive. Bad enough just having to drive around on the tyres he had, but to fight off TGF, DC and Alonso while not feeling 100% is even tougher.

Because Trulli could still drive, he wanted to, McNish hadn't qualified, Trulli is their race driver, Trulli would do a better job, they wanted him to.
eh? are you trying to say Trulli was faking it? I don't think so. Why can't anything be just what it is, not everything has a conspiracy theory behind it. Maybe my reasoning behind your comment is wrong too (if this is so, damn, I shouldn't have jumped on the conspiracy theory bandwagon!  ).
