Me too -- and I'm glad I'm not their tax attorney too.

I am neither Greek, nor a "chorus" member.

In Greek Literature, the purpose of the Chorus was to explain plot action and forshadow future events. Portraying a "Greek Chorus" as representing only the negative is an inappropriate and inaccurate way to portray a position.

Believe it or don't I am looking for balance as well here. I am not going to leap up and down cheering every autonomic response generated by los Tres Amigos, nor am I going to bury the Series just because Adrian and Rahal left. I think that, on balance, article such as the one quoted by Tim indicate that all is not well in the state of OWRS.

This being a discussion forum I think it would get real boring real fast if the discussion were simply: "OWRS is great!" and then all and sundry proceeded to post variations of: "Yes! I agree!"

I value and appreciate the opinions here, as the discussion that ensues can be at times interesting. It is only when the response to a post is to denigrate the poster as "negative" or an "IRL-lover" or a "troll" rather than a reasoned opinion that the conversation devalues.

McDonalds is indeed sponsoring this season.

I would be curious about the details - since McDonald's features "Newman's Own" salad dressing for their salads is this a deal Newman brokered?

And while good news for the team and the Series there are still far too many cars with far too little signage.

For myself, I come here because I like liked CART and prefer to see the mix of road/street/oval races. Last I checked there were no restrictions for entry based on POV.

John, who are you defending yourself too now? Yes, this is a forum for your own point of veiw. So get after it and speak your mind, it is the whole purpose to get some constructive banter going. But please quit justifing everything you say. If there wern't places like this all you would have is people standing in front of their bathroom mirrors talking about Champ Car.

Then perhaps your post should be directed elsewhere as it has been repeatedly pointed out that opinions deemed to be non-supportive of OWRS are not welcome.

It is one thing to challenge what I say and an entirely different matter to challenge why, or to be painted as a "Greek Chorus."

So how are you today?

Fair enough, I appologize for directing it all to you. All that I am trying to get at is that is I would rather read about and talk about racing. So wipe the slate clean, Champ Car is the best, boom yer done and everyone is happy.

So how are you today?
Hey, the sun came up, my name wasn't in the Obituaries, it is gonna be a great day. And yourself?

John, you will have to forgive my attempt of replying to your quote in my last post. My reply is in the middle of your quote, not really sure how I managed that.

Not bad, actually Cowboy! Fixin' to make a mess of home fries and bacon for a late breakfast, the sun is out, it is warm and I think I am going to spend the afternoon outside!

Just bought a new helmet to use for autocrossing - haven't done that in 20 years so might peak at a few schedules and make some plans there as well.

Maybe I can clarify this. There was a message before John's, which has since been deleted by the moderators. It contained a personal attack on another poster (not John) - their motives, right to be here etc. John's remark, quoted above, was in response to that. The mods were right to delete the offensive quote, but it does make it harder to understand the context of John's remark.

Thanks Mike.ca, although I admit I am hard to understand at times even in context!!

Well, it is off to enjoy the sunshine!

(See the dotcom businesses who blew all their money on fancy offices and toys, and then went Bang before they ever produced anything to sell).

I've been in business for going on six years and only now am I beginning to make visible money and see the hope of making substantial money soon. The Three Amigos have been in business far longer than I have and no doubt they are fully aware that you have to be prepared to lose money before you can make money -- particularly if someone else has ******ed up the business before you got there.

And finally they are also aware of the Greek Chorus who attend every business opening, predicting that they can't possibly succeed. I predict they can succeed and with our help they will.

Roll on Long Beach! Drop the flag!
Couldn't agree more Liz, especially the Greek Chorus part. Very well said.
