racing by "alias" names????

Hello I would like to know if anyone can give me some info or point to any FIA rules regarding racing under an alias name. My local asn will only put my passport name on my license however as I have quite a long unusual name and prefer to keep it private I I would much rather race under my racing/ nick-name which I am know as. Does anyone have any info or can point me in the right direction to clarify this problem as I know of many f3000 and f1 drivers who raced under different names than their passport names...

Thank-you....

In the UK you can do this by applying to our local ASN, the MSA (Blue Book E2.4, assumed name - if this helps.

BoatOwner should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
CHAPTER VIII

120. Pseudonym
If a licence is requested under a pseudonym, special application shall be made to the ASN concerned.

In such cases a licence will be issued in the assumed name
if approved.

The licence-holder, for so long as they are registered under
a pseudonym, shall not take part in any competition under any
other name.

An alteration of a pseudonym shall necessitate the same
procedure being followed as for the original name.

A person registered under a pseudonym shall not revert to
the use of their own name until they have obtained a new licence
under their own name from the ASN.
