Team Contacts
I've been taking some photos from some Touring Car meetings and wish to show some of the teams some of my work. I am currently intrested in getting into contact with WSR and Kartworld, can any of you guy's or girl's put me into contact with one or both of those teams or give me some contact details?
Thanks in advance |

Seen your work mate, very impressed. I would recommend anyone just taking a look at his work.
By the way if you need a young, cheap, photography for your team here's your man! Honestly, the next Keith Sutton in the making... Last edited by SPARK Msport; 28 May 2004 at 20:25. |

best thing to do with btcc teams is to go to the races and track down the media contact there.

The Kartworld guys always seem quite approachable, so why not just take a few prints down and show them or Jason and see what they think? From what i've seen, they should be impressed

According to the tocatour website, Kartworld's media contact is actually Jason, so i can;t see it doing any harm if u go straight to him.

Good luck with the contacting.
This is the standard of work you will have to at least match:- http://tsuphoto.com/motorsport/ Jason supplies Collard Racing with their race/PR photos. |

I just want to show him one or two photos.
I take it Jason is a professional? I'm only 16 and I have to take all my shots from the spectator banks! I just want to learn at the moment and get some of my work out there. You can see my touring car photos here if you're interested. |

The problem is getting noticed, pick out your best, the sharpest, the best colour and post them to the teams, the sponsors, the drivers..get a price list together and include that in the package.
Try your local paper, enter the prints into local club competitions, write to editors of the Motoring mags that cover saloon cars, are they interested and the rates of pay. The head and shoulder shots, use a fill in flash, don't be shy, shout to get the drivers attention.... Look for the different chot, try and get the appropriate advert in the background... get a copy of Photoshop and use it to create montage of driver and car... and look for the different shot have a look at some of the french and german Motoring mags.. etc.... different attitude.. check out Sutton Photographic, http://www.extremepressure.com/ check out allsport; which has been bought out by Getty images http://editorial.gettyimages.com/ms_...home.aspx?pg=1 a lot of your images you can send as digital ....... what camera and lens do you use? Are you doing any college course for Photography any plans for the future? |

Hi , from my experience it is pretty difficult to try and "pitch" the teams or even at least get them to accept a piccy of yours , remember there are a lot of people all thinking the same thing ... but dont give up as you may have that one nobody has .. the exclusive ! keep trying youll get there
regards APS view my Oulton pics here http://www.motorsport-images.com/btccpage1.html |
