Usually someone comes up with a good link. I've only got 1 seminar and 1 lecture tomorrow so I'll be around for a lot of the day - I'll see what I can find then. What time does testing start? Usually about 9 or 10, isn't it?
Thanks a bunch for the heads up - last I remember things were starting off at 10 local. I'll have to double-check though

I think it's at 10. Had heard initially that it was 9, which is why I'm up now, but I've since heard it's 10. Hopefully Merc, STR and Williams have launches before then otherwise I'm going to be a bit bored

James Allen on F1 - JA says he's going to have a "new service" up and running tomorrow, so hopefully that means live updates in English at last
F1Today.nl - did live updates last year, so your best bet to start with if JA isn't doing updates

You are right, we tend to forget Ferrari´s late 80´s and early 90´s, where for them usually winning a race or two per year (take 1990 apart) as much was the best they could hope for...
anyhow, let´s not forget that Ferrari´s 2006 contender was, at the end of the year, more than a match for the renault, that, in 2007, after Schumi and brawn were gone, were to win both drivers and makes titles (ok, Mclaren was disqualified), and in 2008, they won makes championship and Massa was within a point of winning the driver´s one...
last year was a disaster, but was McLaren´s, BMW´s and Williams´ disaster as well...

Both McLaren and Ferrari will be on the pace, I am quite sure...

This website's pretty good as well: http://www.f1-direct.fr/live-essais-prives.php

Plus JA has his Twitter feed, gathering tweets from loads of good sources

Some interesting diffuser solutions - probably the most important area of difference. Haven't seen the McLaren one yet but there's talk that it's pretty radical. Williams haven't been hiding theirs, mainly because it's thought to be an interim one and they've got a new, more radical one coming soon

As all the media focus on Schumacher leaving the pits, de la Rosa goes fastest with a 1:12.784! The real dream continues!

Yeh it's a shame they don't seem to be showing any footage on track (apart from the same clip of Rosberg taking a corner in slow mo) lol

On de la Rosa's having the best time so far (and I know it might mean nothing at all)... If Sauber turns out to have the best car, has it missed a trick in its driving pairing or can de la Rosa or Kobayashi take the money and run like Button managed to last year?

Well, TGF is quicker than Nico after 18 laps. Of course, he could use Nico's morning effort to work with, but still that is something that wouldn't go down too well with my ego, if I were Nico.

I think that the track conditions are better now than in the morning. The times are going to better. We never know very well how is the drivers performance until the season starts

Thanks for a link to see the overall times, missed it today after being at school all day and any site I came across was blocked! Great to see the new cars finally on track, the Renault looks fab as does the Mercedes and Ferrari too. One thing though: I thought Schumi was changing his lid?

Schumi's gunning it! I knew he'd be up to speed quickly, the season should be exciting. Good to see Massa didn't lose any speed with the injury. Head injuries can easily knock speed off even the best, so that's good for him.

Sure these tests don't mean much yet in terms of the cars but wow, Sauber and de la Rosa, is quite impressive.

IIRC, last year's Sauber's were dogs already in pre-season testing weren't they? So this could be good news.

Schumi on the pace is good news, and he will get much faster! Not bad after a 3 year layoff regardless of what the fuel loads are!

who knows what load of fuel were schumacher driving with against rosberg´s, and probably times were faster in the afternoon, but i think any doubts about his sheer pace will be solved even today. We will what he does in long gp runs, but, impressive return for TGF. One think I am also proud is De la Rosa´s times. Kobayashi´s ones will be good as well (the car seems ok for today) but i am glad this guy is driving so well after all the flak he received.

Why is Sauber running as BMW Sauber-Ferrari? It seems selfish to have two manufactures in your team name. Surely they can drop the BMW part?

Peter Sauber would need to apply to the F1 Commission of the FIA to change the name, it wouldn't be a problem but he says he hasn't done it yet and may do it later. For all I care they're just called Sauber.
