Startline requires a lot of running!

I have been surprised - I probably did more running doing that than on the bank - particularly with large grids like the MG.

Cracking day today - 5 taster folk turned up & all 5 stayed for the afternoon fun, some back tomorrow too.

Very surreal evening spent munching burgers & supping speckled hen whilst sitting in the old pit lane whilst cyclists pottered around the track - even got some going W-D in the pit lane & we didn't get excited about it.

Hopefully a scorcher tomorrow - many thanks to MG club for the great social and a massive grid every session.

Didn't stay for the BBQ but had a good day on the north end of the new pit wall! Got to practice my (really, really bad) blue flagging skills and inspect the rather large drop from the pit wall to the exit at Farm!

Also, was good to chat with you today Gerry on your wanders!

Fantastic taster day was had by the Wife & I today. Met some really cool people. I had my 1st incident on national straight & she was in the pit lane checking speed & handing out fines, she even went out in the course car for a lap.
Needless to say....Hooked!!........We'll be back very, very soon indeed.
A special huge thanks to Gerry, Dave "Hairy", Penny, Chris & everyone else who made it a very interesting & welcoming day.
Cheers

Just a quick note to thank all the marshals, race officials, MG club and HRDC for a wonderul day of racing on Sunday. We were in the red Lancia Aurelia in the 45 min race - I did wave on the warm down lap but most of the marshals were still waving the yellow flags for the safety car so not that many waves back.

Thanks again and hope people didn't get too surn burnt.

A few of us caught a touch of sun on Saturday, so were being a bit careful on Sunday. I have to say though, layering a top-up of factor 50 over the concrete dust that's stuck to an earlier layer is not particularly pleasant.

Mostly good grids, mostly good racing (I usually love Morgans, but they did get a bit spread out yesterday) and nobody hurt in the one or two comings together.

Nice to have a chat with you too. My "wanders" on Saturday afternoon amounted to about 3 miles and nearly killed me! That drop to the pit lane is fairly impressive - a flight of 17 steps. I am just imagining the major incident report if somebody falls off The gradient on the curved pitlane exit back up to the track must be about 1 in 7, some of the older VSCC cars might not make it.
