Too many talented drivers with no money - It's high time to revise the costs of formula racing at all. I things the costs are too expensive in this case.

Me too! It should be released at the final round at Jerez (if not before if we're lucky).
So today the list of teams for 2016 was announced and also the new name for the championship - Formula 3.5 Series. As expected, DAMS are to leave and Amato Ferrari's new team Spirit of Race joins the grid. It's interesting that Comtec are included, given that they have only taken part in one event this season. |

According to italiaracing.net Celis will stay another season with AVF and he and Kirchhöfer both will test at Jerez.

I would not be surprised to see Marvin Kirchofer becoming a driver Ã* Tom Dillmann or Blomqvist with Alfonso Celis Jr.
He became friend with him. No wonder why Marvin is testing with AVF i think. http://www.motorsport-magazin.com/gp...meines-lebens/ |

ItaliaRacing are reporting that Draco have sold their cars to the new team Spirit of Race and will leave motorsport altogether.

that'd be a shame, but with the teams current ownership you can see why they might not be interested in it any more.

Right then, the provisional 2016 calendar has been released and is as follows:
April 16/17 Motorland Aragon, Spain (Renault Sport Trophy/ELMS) April 23/24 Hungaroring, Hungary (WTCC)* May 21/22 Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium (GT Open) June 25/26 Paul Ricard, France (Blancpain Endurance Series)* July 23/24 Silverstone, Britain (GT Open) September 10/11 Red Bull Ring, Austria (GT Open)* October 1/2 Monza, Italy (GT Open) October 29/30 Barcelona, Spain (GT Open) November 5/6 Jerez, Spain (EuroFormula Open) * To be confirmed Given all the changes to the championship next season and some of the uncertainty that's been around, I think that is a pretty damn good calendar! I for one am really happy to have Monza back as the racing there was always pretty entertaining in the past (the battles in 2013 between Vandoorne, Magnussen & da Costa spring to mind). The only slight gripe is another long (seven week) summer break, but then again I doubt there would be much appetite (or budget for that matter) for an extra round somewhere to fill the gap. Also, now that Formula 3.5 is a support to other championships rather than being the headline act, I wonder what impact that will have on the track time they receive at each event? |

Vaixiviere is at Spirit of Race and I believe Jehan Daruvala is at Fortec. Teams have told Autosport that there is high driver interest for the test.

Great news the calendar has been released thanks for posting that WSR fan.
Slightly annoying that the UK round is likely to be on the weekend my family will go on our summer hols!!! Be very interesting to see who does this first test. It will give us an early indication of how seriously career single seater drivers view it for next year without Renaults backing. |

No problems chunterer
George Russell has just tweeted to say he'll be testing this week, which is pretty exciting! No mention with which team, but I'm assuming it'll be Carlin. |

According to italiaracing.net that's the test line-up with Lotus not yet confirmed their drivers (wonder what will happen if Lotus F1 is sold to Renault):
Fortec: Gustav Malja, Louis Délétraz, Jack Aitken Strakka: Gustav Malja, Jake Hughes, George Russell Arden: Egor Orudzhev, Kevin Jörg, Jack Aitken Carlin: Nikita Zlobin, Vladimir Atoev Tech-1: Aurélien Panis, Anthoine Hubert Pons: Yu Kanamaru, Matevos Isaakyan AVF: Alfonso Celis jr., Marvin Kirchhöfer Comtec: Jehan Daruvala, Mahaveer Raghunathan Spirit: Matthieu Vaxixière I think that's a poor line-up, especially at Arden for example... |
