Thought so :-) Just needed by car to be fast first. Logic was all very nice being stabile but useless if no engine.

I didn't upgrade my engine power at all during my first 4 races, concentrating on the driver and not breaking stuff. You can still score decent points with a slightly underpowered engine. Consequently I've got 37 points and only 1 engine blowup - when I accidentally left everything on insane! |

1:27.604 2nd of 4.
I'm 6 seconds (!) faster than 3rd, and 2 seconds off pole! |

I won my last race, which of course puts me in a tough group. Having missed training, i am 8th out of 8, 9.3 secs off pole, and 5.1 secs off 7th place!! My team Minardi tribute living up to its name! Heres hopin no-one else qualifies, then at least i might finish 8th and salvage a point...

I did a minimum amount of upgrade for this race - engine only; so I can take more money next round and splash out on bringing the new car and new driver up to a decent standard for the first race.

Qualified 3rd, hoping for a big haul of points to get to the top of the team standings!
I've also had two other teams building nothing but uber-engines for a few rounds now - I've got one up to 841PS and one at 909PS compared with my #1 team at 814PS. The plan is that once everything is reset for the new season I'll have an 809PS engine ready to go! At least I will if the changeover goes anything like it's supposed to. |

I've only got 749ps... I can't afford to loose 100! That'll cost millions to build up again!

The lower your power the more you get for your bucks. IE: it is cheaper to go from 700 to 800 than it is to go from 800 to 900. So it probably makes more sence to let the money build up and buy the power in the new season. You could also start a new team now and let it build up for a full season without any spending and use it in the following season.

As we're going to need a new driver as well next year - after one full season of practice have we decided which is the best?

So what are the rules for next season? When does it start?
Where does it say you lose 100 BHP? |

I was wondering that myself. What if you set up a new account today and pick sunnyboy, get 10,000,000 then at the start of the new season if you can pick him again that should give you 20,000,000 to start the season with.

End of Season / start of new season After each season, every racing team starts over with a score of zero World Cup points. Money that has been saved as well as saved turns will be available in the new season. Each racing team gets a new driver. Apart from the engine that stays the same with a few restrictions, each team gets a new car as well. From people that have done previous seasons the "few restrictions" include losing 100ps |
