fragile peugeots?

Talking Point:
Did the peugeots seem a whole lot more fragile than the vauxhalls last year. It seemed to me that the vauxhalls never got bodywork damage on the same scale of the peugeots (and thats excluding sopers big crash at brands). the only damage i seen the vauxhalls recieve was broken steering, but thats mechanical, not bodywork. The only bodywork from the vauxhalls was the front bumper and headlamps from snetterton night races.

Did Vic Lee purposely build destructable cars so that the fans could focus on the fact that the cars looked damage to hide the fact that they under performed?

Whats your opinion?

The main reason you saw the Peugeots damaged was because they were so far back in the field.
For example, the Astra Coupés were always at the front, and without being disrespectful to the JSM Alfa drivers, this is what the Pugs had to come through, and obviously they were damaged because of moves that Soper or Eaves would pull to get past these guys, while the Vauxhall drivers would never consider performing moves like that. Phew!

yeah, but even when the vauxhalls have made contact, they've kept shape, i.e. when bennett shoveled soper off track at croft, and then when soper ran into the back of bennett it was the peugeot that was abbliterated and basically the vauxhall hardly got damaged , apart from a couple of scratches.
