An LMP car would be much cooler than a GT2 car. The CCX is already easily faster than GT1 cars and probably some LMP2 cars.

Did they ever build and test a GT version? Just because the street CCX is faster than a Vette and DB9 it doesn't mean it could beat them on the track in GT form.

Reaching back in my brain I think I remember reading about a Koenigsegg LMP or GT car on DSC a few years ago that we never saw on the racetrack.

@Flyin Ryan: They showed a GT1 car in 2007 (see this topic) and the car did a shakedown (see this topic), but then nothing happened.
