Donington Park Training day - No but Derby University instead
For reasons probably obvious to all users of the forum, the Midland Region of the marshals Club has not been able to make use of any facilities at Donington for training in early 2010.
Instead we have managed to obtain use of facilities at the University of Derby, courtesy of Steve Hill course leader for their motorsport technology department. So Sunday, 24th January, sign-on between 0830 and 0900 for a novice/new marshal session. (No practical fire or training for Experienced this year, I'm afraid.) University of Derby Motorsport Facility Markeaton Campus Pybus Street Derby You’ll find the entrance at the end of Pybus Road on the left. SATNAV POSTCODE: DE22 3BD (halfway along Pybus Street) PARKING: Please use the car park on the left hand side. The right hand side is reserved for residents and we understand wheel clamping is in operation. Please book a place by emailing me at m.training at marshals.co.uk (or PM will work). I can reply to queries on this thread but please do book using email/pm as above. Please do book and don't just turn up; places may be limited and if we don't know you are coming, we can't tell you of any last minute changes or cater for you. Cadwell Park is on 17th, Experienced, Post Chief AND practical fire training available. The form is on Julian's website or PM me.

A pity, on so many levels. Donington fire training with real cars was one of my annual highlights.
Fingers crossed for the future and thanks to JimW and others for previous exiting days. |
