Tim Northcutt should be qualifying in the top 3 on the gridTim Northcutt should be qualifying in the top 3 on the gridTim Northcutt should be qualifying in the top 3 on the gridTim Northcutt should be qualifying in the top 3 on the grid
Here are the results:

and as you will see at the end of this, I'm really looking over my shoulder at about 4 or 5 of you, because you made gains on me (especially Marcus and GP Racer)

Qual Picks:

No one had Helio as thePole Winner

Tim was closest to the actual pole speed, by just 2 tenths of an mph over drewdawg727:

Actual: 167.396
Tim N: 168.749

Marcus picked 5 of the 6 in the top 3 rows and had Franchitti in his actual spot...stmookey & drewdawg had 4 of the 6, and others had 3 or 2 of the 6...

Tim N had 3 of the 6, but also had franchitti in the correct spot for 4 pts in that section...

Marcus also had Scott Sharp as the slowest qualifier (and I would've counted Carpenter as well, but no one had him picked)

Everyone but Down F0rce got 2 pts for Scheckter as the fast Chevy

Downforce had Castroneves as the top Toyota, and many had Kanaan as the fast Honda....

Quals points:

1. Marcus -- 12 pts.
2. Drewdawg727 -- 8 pts.
(tie) Tim N. -- 8 pts.
4. GP Racer -- 7 pts.
(tie) Seven Grain -- 7 pts.
6. Down F0rce -- 6 pts.
(tie) Flavhina -- 6 pts.
(tie) stmookeyj033 -- 6 pts.
(tie) sqw2 -- 6 pts.

The race is where people really racked up (or didn't) in the points...

GP racer got 14 points in the race portion of the "pick'ems," followed by Drewdawg with 13 and Marcus with 10...great job to all 3!!!!

All 3 picked Wheldon as the race winner...marcus had two of the top 5, but wheldon and rice in their proper spots...Drewdawg had four of the top 5, with the top 3 AGR cars in order!!! (awesome picks!)

GP Racer had Hornish as the "Fastest Lap" driver, and drewdawg was closest to the actual lap speed:

Actual: 158.509
drrewdawg: 160.452

GP Racer got 6 pts in the miulestones (Wheldon at the 150, 200 and 225 marks) and marcus got 4 pts here (Wheldon at 150 and 225)

No one had castrneves as the 50 and 100 lap leader..

No one had Mark taylor as "1st out"

No one had Wheldon as the "Mover" -- 8th to 1st

Down F0rce was the only one to pick Hornish for the "Fall -- 2nd to 11th

and Tim N. was closest to the Average race speed.

Actual -- 118.874
Tim N. -- 126.971

Total Race Results:

1. Marcus -- 22 pts.
2. GP Racer -- 21 pts.
(tie) drewdawg -- 21 pts.
4. Seven Grain -- 14 pts.
5. Tim N. -- 13 pts.
6. Down F0rce -- 12 pts.
7. Flavinha -- 11 pts.
8. stmookeyj033 -- 10 pts.
10. sqw2 -- 9 pts.

I'll post Season Totals in a few minutes....but Marcus and GP race are making a huge charge at me after this weekend....and the race is getting MUCH tighter!!!

My lead really took a hit, and with three races to go, anyone in the top 4 or 5 could win this...

Next Race...Chicagoland....a wild race every year....where the order of finish could make all of the difference in the world in the season results in this contest...

I'll post the thread later this week...

Good Luck!!!!

It's about time you had a bad weekend Tim!

Geez, for awhile there, you looked like Tony Kannan running away with this thing!

Whats up with marcus? At the beginning of the contest , he was running like Tora Takagi, and now he looks like Buddy Rice!

This contest should be a cliffhanger until the end. Bring on Chicago!
