Cheapest European F1 race?

Hi.

I would like to see an F1 race in Europe next season. Does anyone have any idea what the cheapest (ie travel, weekend ticket, camping/accomodation etc) one would be? I'm from the UK if anyone was wondering. I think Spa is meant to be cheap...?

I thought Hungary was the cheapest? Spa might also be up there.

I had silvers in 05 and it was not cheap. No doubt they've jacked up the price since then to cover the new pits/etc.
I guess it depends whether you count flights, accomodation, in with your ticket price too.

I didn't even know you could put 'F1' and 'cheap' in the same sentence...

Select Motor Racing has some pretty good deals on the go. Anyone used them before?

I have to agree with Chatters and say there is no cheap GP.

I found Hungaroring to be cheaper last year as I managed to grab the EUR99 Red Bull stand tickets.

Not sure why you'd even want the cheapest DownForce. It sounds like, at best maybe, an occasional trip so, borrow if you have to, spend a little more and go to one you'll remember. Real easy for me to say I know.

Keep looking. I don't know Select Motor Racing but someone will, and there was a great thread on tenths (every once in awhile they luck out) about the best races to see live, best places to sit stuff like that. I'll see if I can find it.

Edit: et voila LOL. And, welcome to 10 tenths AJ.

Book tickets for Spa, jump in a car and head into Francorchamps. There's dozens of camp sites there and you should be able to rock up and pitch your tent without booking. We didn't even have to pay it was that laid back. I really enjoyed it and it was dirt cheap (comparitively)

According to the MRI Brochure I got today, the F1 ticket prices they're offering for next year are as follows (all start/finish straight g/stand 3 day tickets for comparision, and 3 day General admission where shown. These prices will include a slice for the agency, so may be cheaper direct from the circuit) :

AUS - £309
MAL - £259
BAH - £224
ESP - £394 (GA £105)
TUR - £289**
MON - £269 (Sun only, g/stand opposite pits, not start/finish) (GA £65 Sun only)
CAN - £279**
FRA - £299 (GA £73 or £124)
GBR - £239 (GA £115)
GER - £364 (GA £89 or £126)
HUN - £269 (GA £92)
EUR - tbc
BEL - £409 (GA £124)
ITA - £422 (GA £69)
SIN - tbc
JAP - £375 (GA £73)**
CHN - £269**
BRA - £256

maltafan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
They usually say that Hungary & Barcellona have the cheapest tickets. Maybe this year they will be cheaper than usual, because of the Valencia competition.
