Yank drivers

Who do you think is the best young yank at the moment?
I think Pat Long is the business!

Hi rimrider, and welcome to 10 Tenths - I hope you enjoy posting here.

On results so far this year its a toss up between Long and Richard Antanucci. I've seen both once this year and neither really grabbed my attention - the only person to do that so far has been Farfus, the young Brazilian in the FRenault Eurocup.

Hey Marshal who the hell is Farfus? It sounds like something that grows in a field!!

I think Pat tips Antinucci into a cocked hat. When Ant' did FF his results were pants. Pats the first yank to anything decent over here for years. I think F/Renault is a weak series. Apart from Kimi (top bloke) Where are all the past Champions from the last 10 years? Gone!

I'd have to agree with ' the rim' on this one...

Formula Ford's has produced some seriously top drivers, especially lately! Even Kimi had a taste of Formula Ford and seemed to struggle! He then left to FRenault and dominated... Don't get me wrong, I think he is one of the best to come through the UK in a long while, but comparing the two Championships is quite clear cut! FF all the way-

As far as the Yanks, Antinucci came over to race British Formula Ford from Italy and had his clock' cleaned! He was with Haywood at their prime (98') so it sure wasn't the car... I think he decided to go back to his homeland (Italy, not the US>) midseason and keep the karting career alive.

Pat Long has showed some consistent speed this year in the Van Diemen so far. After his first win at Oulton last month, he's been giving championship leader Richard Gorranson more than a run for his money... He's been on the front row for three of the five rounds! Watch this kid...

Let's not forget about Phil Giebler, he has shown speed right away in everything he's driven in and will be hitting the British F3 scene in a few weeks. Paul Edwards also deserves some notice, between almost winning his first ever F3 race, and winning the pole for his fourth ever F3 race, in addition to usually matching or outpacing his teammate Priaulx he is definitely one to watch.

Pizzonia hasn't 'made it' yet and Hines is on the dole.

Swedish Meatballs

Rimrider - If it's blonde women with big t*ts you're after, I suggest you look no further than Pat Long because the way he was driving at Rockingham yesterday, he could easily have been mistaken for a woman!

ok...

Wow,

Kiwi has made himself present within this subject... -Nice Revelation on Long and Swedish Blonds... but, I don't really see where you're coming from.
He charged through the field, starting eleventh and finishing fifth. To say that was a ladylike drive is quite amusing. Maybe you confused him with Gorranson.

Enough about Goransson/Long

As it appears that the debate on Goransson/Long is becoming quite contentious, perhaps we had better move on to a different subject!

What are the opinions on the performance of Formula 3 drivers at the moment? Has Courtney lost his winning touch?

What about Danica Patrick? She did well in last years festival.

Kiwi - I think F3 is just a very stong field this year.

Raven, I think Danica's excellent - she's a good driver to.

Yes F3 is mega competitive. F3 and FF are really the two Formula's that show you where the future talent is.

Long will win the battle with Gorranson, it takes brains to put a title run together and only one of these guys has any.

I think Patrick will come on strong in the second half or the season.
