Mallory Testday - October 1st

A blustery autumnal morning with only 17 cars entered reminded me that the season is coming to an end.
The fastest by a long way was the British GT, Dodge Viper which was only being shaken down. Wayne ran an open pit lane which resulted in a flowing morning. Cars seen were;
3 Litre Firenza, 2 Crossle Sports Cars, a Sports 1000 which broke a half shaft and covered the Esses in Gearbox oil & Ball Bearings, an MX5, a Stock Hatch Saxo, a Jedi, a Proton, a 750MC Kit Car Taydec, a Proton, a Ferrari 308 GTB, a lovely Merlyn F.Ford, a Fiesta, 2 MG Midgets, a young Spaniard called Jose, being run by Don Hardman & coached by Mark Hales in a F.Ford 1600, and the 2 cars I've pictured - Will Arif in the yellow Reynard FF2000, and American John delane in his Brabham BT18.

In fact it actually costs Dave to appear at Mallory on a Wednesday. Upon production of a current edition of either MotorSport, Octane, Karting Magazine, Practical Classics etc, he is then allowed into Race Control to spectate/dribble for the morning. [Delete as applicable]
