The German GP

Interesting statement from FIA.

"The FIA has mandated Alan Donnelly, the FIA President’s Representative, to ensure that the DMSB, the holder of the national sporting authority in Germany, is truly independent of the ADAC and capable of running the sporting power in the country."

Fantastic, a loop-hole that will allow Bernie to drop the German GP to make room for the Sahara Desert GP.

It's not to do with Bernie this one, the guy you should be cynical towards is Max.

Aust., GB., France, Germany, Brazil, Belg. and maybe not in that order unless the greedy midget and his toy Mad Max are gone.

We shouldn't get ahead of ourselves. This doesn't necessarily mean the GP is going to be axed, or anything close.

It might all be part of some grand GP-ditching/Max-payback conspiracy, but it is a possibility that it isn't.

I'm quite sure a German GP will stay. Anyway, this is all about fighting Max vs. ADAC who stood openly against MadMax after his questionable tour d'amour.

If DMSB and ADAC really have to split it'll have huge consequences for any kind of motorsports in Germany, F1 is only just one tiny part of it. We'll also have to see what the german manufacturers will say to this, because they have a close relationship to the ADAC through various channels. ADAC is the biggest club in Germany with around 16 million members, so the ADAC has quite an influence here. Worldwide the ADAC is not important but in germany, together with the manufacturers Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, VW, Audi, Opel the ADAC is in a quite strong position, even thinking of the Formula 1.

The ADAC, whose turn it is next year to stage the race at the Nürburgring, still needs permission from the AvD to use the term "German Grand Prix" because the term they used so far, the "European Grand Prix", has been transferred to the Valencia America's Cup harbour street race. Nürburgring and the ADAC once staged the "Luxembourg Grand Prix", but I guess they might get an offer from a tiny but well-funded middle Eastern automobile club to stage their race at the Nürburgring, if the situation with the AvD can't be worked out.
