Norton are back!
Don't hold your breath as it's very early days but wouldn't it be great to see Norton back on the track?

The Norton NRV588 pictured was analysed in detail in the May/June issue Of MotoTech magazine, with explanations from its designer, Brian Crighton.
The article suggested it would race in British Thundersport - this year ? |

That bike has its origins in the orginal rotary Norton of the 90's and the one that won BSB in 1994 with Ian Simpson.
Crighton was the man behind the original bike and the new one is just a modernised version. I dont know if the new bike is rotary powered. If it is I imagine Norton will ahve huge problems getting it past teh scrutineers as its engine size was always an issue duriong the life of the bike. |

I swear, if it becomes at all possible to see those black machines n the race track again, i'll be so thrilled. I really hope that it will be a rotary as well. Imagine Japanese I4s, Ducati L-twins, Aprilia V4s, and Norton Rotary's that be AWESOME. Last edited by AUTOLEGEND; 24 Oct 2008 at 19:13. |
