Luca Fields
[/URL]
My latest track, Luca Fields, named after the translation of my name. Located 5 kilometres south of Cork, Ireland. The total lenght of the track is 3050 metres, and the corners are 9: 4 left and 5 right. Straights: the start/finish one is 700 metres, the one between corners 6 and 7 is 600 metres and the straight before the last corner is 650 metres. Corners: 1 Squirrel Hairpin A slow, slightly banked hairpin, a bit like the first corner at Jarama. Good overtaking spot. 2 Deaf's Bend An easy left bend, but careful because it will make the following esse harder. 3 Clinch Esses Never a dull moment on this track, you come to this left/right esse with an unstable car, because you've just come out of Deaf's Bend. 4 Fast In Slow Out Esses As the name says, the first part of the corner is quick, and you brake hard at mid turn to take the exit, which is slower. A good exit here is crucial because the following part is uphill, and it leads to two fast, difficult corners. 5 Beer Corner After the uphill, this corner is a fast right hander, it can be taken flat out in most cars. In the wet, the risk of spinning is very high, tough. 6 Courage Corner A very difficult corner, very fast and open but not enough to be taken flat out, so it's a tricky corner to judge. 7 Laguna Seca Esses After a downhill hairpin, a right-left combination, the exit is in further downhill. Good overtaking spot. 8 Fountain Hairpin The slowest part of the track, you have to come out of this corner very quickly, ready for the following straight. 9 Monza Corner Similar to the Parabolica of the italian track, it's a good place for overtaking. Late braking and late turn-in will allow you to pass other drivers, but on the other hand, late turn-in will allow you to gain more speed for the start/finish straight, preparing you to overtake at the Hairpin. What do you think? |

I like it, but I would give the paddock some room to breathe as it were.
You did use the bottom part of Monza for your back straight/Parabolica/S/F straight. Interesting use of part of an already existing track. Ireland would be an ideal location fot it too. Nice job. |

I like this one a lot, especially the segment between T3 and T7. Also, nice use of elevation at the Laguna Seca esses.

ohh I like this one a lot!!! This looks perfect for bikes,so technical,no 1rst gear turns, reasonable long straight, there's a good balance of left vs right, many overcoming spots,I like it,it's perfect for bikes any size!
You need some barriers on some places though, but dont change a thing |

Well I considered the length of the track and estimated the gap between the S/F straight and back straight and I thought it wouldn't be enough for a decent-sized paddock, but seeing as it would only be for smaller stuff like national & club racing, it would be adequate.

I would guess the whole area between T1 across to T8 down T9 is paddock.
Multi classes, and haulers for each car. Several hundred cars could be there at one time for club to semi pro races. Some of our Semi pro races we have over 400 competitors at an event. Even the smaller events there are 200 competitors. So that is paddock space for each one. Overall I like it. But then again, Love to stretch the cars legs. High speed corners and esses, and the idea of the LS cork screw, brilliant. How long is this circuit? and the front straight? |

700 meters ~ 2100 feet or 4/10s of a mile. fastest part of the track might be T4 though T7 brake zone dependent on the radius of T6 Very Cool Thank you Last edited by AU N EGL; 31 Dec 2008 at 20:49. |
