Just back from the show good to see the new s2000 cars on show Kris Meeks Pug 207 looks stunning but the new Proton they have done such a good job on that car. The future looks good if can go by these cars. MSD Corsa looks so fast just stood there. We were talkin on the way home what other cars would be good s2000's. I like see the little volvo c30 s2000 you got any thoughts

Will M Sport build a Fiesta S2000? I didn't know that.

There were rumours Volkswagen was interested in building a Scirocco S2000. Aren't the rules changed so he wider Scirocco is allowed?

Which manufacturers will enter IRC this season?
Abarth
Peugeot
Skoda?
Opel/Vauxhall?

Maybe you already know this website: www.s2000rally.com

Volkswagen is considering a move into the World Rally Championship and is expected to make a decision in the near future.

The German manufacturer will finalise plans for its future motorsport activity once it has completed this year's Dakar Rally.

VW motorsport director Kris Nissen revealed that the WRC is an option and said that a global motorsport programme is "important" to VW.

"We want to make a decision after Dakar," he told this week's Autosport magazine. "We have looked at the World Rally Championship and we have been keen to investigate whether this would be possible, as well as the Dakar or instead of the Dakar.

"Volkswagen is one of the world's biggest car manufacturers. International competition is really important - Dakar is international competition but so is the WRC. Nothing is decided yet."

Seeing as though cars are now running with naturally aspirated 2 litre engines I wonder could the front wheel drive F2 cars of the mid to late 90's could make a return in privateer outfits. The 306 Maxi would definately give the newer cars a good run for their money on Tarmac events.

And yes I also visited the Proton stand at Autosport and I really do like their new S2000 car.
